Elnara is an ABD in Technology at Purdue Polytechnic, focusing on learning analytics in disability education and the integration of educational technologies in STEM teaching. She holds a B.S. in Special Education and an M.S. in Teaching and Curriculum with a concentration in instructional design.
She is a Graduate Research Assistant on the National Science Foundation - funded Project "Expanding Accessibility of Learning through Blended Synchronous Instruction of Face-to-face and Remote Students,” award # 2110799. Her research focuses on advancing digital accessibility for undergraduate students with disabilities in STEM courses. She leverages learning analytics to inform curriculum development and lesson planning, particularly in environments where educational technologies are heavily utilised. By analysing students' learning experiences and instructional strategies, she aims to develop data-driven approaches to designing digitally accessible course materials and lessons.
As a former special educator, consultant to UNICEF Azerbaijan on inclusive education, and trainer in multiple disability-focused professional development projects, she is committed to establishing a proactive approach to improving the accessibility of STEM education through research and advocacy for students with disabilities.
Elnara has been recognised for her contributions through highly competitive, merit-based scholarships and fellowships, multiple travel awards, and induction into the Honour Society of Phi Kappa Phi, where she served as Student Vice President. Her career goal is to pursue an academic position as an Assistant Professor upon completing her Ph.D. She is passionate about collaboration and mentoring future talent, leveraging her experience and knowledge to drive meaningful change in the field.
