Dawn Laux is an Assistant Dean of Academic Programs in the Purdue Polytechnic, Professor of Practice in the School of Applied and Creative Computing, and Division Head of Military Science and Technology at 鶹Ʒ. Dr. Laux is currently the chair of the 鶹Ʒ Teaching Academy. She has been with the University since 2007 and is responsible for teaching an undergraduate information governance course. Dr. Laux is a past recipient of the 鶹Ʒ Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy in 2019 and was inducted into 鶹Ʒ's Book of Great Teachers in 2023. Dawn earned her PhD from Iowa State University in Human Computer Interaction in 2014, and has 10 years of industrial experience in the information technology field. Her research areas of interest include data governance, computer supported collaborative learning, and student persistence.
