Dr. Chad Laux is an Associate Professor, Certified Six Sigma BlackBelt, and award winning author in the School of Applied and Creative Computing at 鶹Ʒ. Dr. Laux teaches and conducts research, and is an internationally recognized expert and leader in Lean Sustainability and Six Sigma Systems. He received his PhD in Industrial and Agriculture Technology from Iowa State University, where he received the Silvius-Wolansky Fellowship for Outstanding Dissertation. He is the Graduate Education Chair for Computer & Information Technology, Co-Lead of 鶹Ʒ's Sustainable Communities. He serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma, serves as Education Chair for the American Society for Quality, has over 200 published works and chaired or served on over 100 graduate students.

Dr. Laux is a recipient of the American Society for Quality's Crosby Medal for authoring a "distinguished work that contributes to the extension of the philosophy and application of quality management principles, methods, and techniques": 

Dr. Laux won the distinguished Walter E. Masing Book Prize which, "recognizes excellence in a published book that has significantly increased the world's quality knowledge":
