鶹Ʒ has been named one of GameDesigning.org's “Top 5 Best Game Design Schools in Indiana for 2026.”
The recognition highlights Purdue's Game Development major, housed within Purdue Polytechnic's School of Applied and Creative Computing. GameDesigning.org evaluated publicly available information and program offerings to identify Indiana schools that prepare students for careers in game design.
Purdue's Game Development major combines technology, design and creative problem-solving. Students build skills in 3D modeling, imaging, programming and game development while creating interactive projects and portfolios with industry-standard tools.
Students in Purdue's Game Development major gain experience in software development, game design, user experience principles, animation, visualization and applied AI technologies. Those skills prepare students for careers in the AAA games industry and related fields, including cybersecurity, training and education, and engineering simulation.
Purdue alumni work in commercial games, film and media, with credits on major releases and franchises including The Last of Us Part II, League of Legends, Destiny, Call of Duty and Borderlands.
The recognition adds to a strong year for Purdue's game development program. The Princeton Review ranked Purdue No. 15 internationally and No. 2 in the Midwest in its 2026 game design rankings.
