Program Description

Students studying construction management in the U.S. only learn based on U.S. systems. This study abroad experience will broaden the learning experience by showcasing techniques and challenges found in Italy. These include enhanced safety techniques, modular construction, off-site construction, historical renovation, unforeseen conditions, and many more. Additionally, the value of learning about great constructors and projects from the past have an impact on future construction projects. Italy is one of the premier places in the world to see so many historical construction projects in close proximity.

Tentative Program Itinerary

  • Saturday, March 13th- Arrive in Rome, Walking Tour, Group Dinner
  • Sunday, March 14th- Guided Tour of the Vatican, Travel to Florence
  • Monday, March 15th- Scavenger Hunt around City, Group Dinner
  • Tuesday, March 16th- Guided Tour of Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Statue of David, Pasta Class
  • Wednesday, March 17th- Guided Tour of Tuscany and Pisa
  • Thursday, March 18th- Free Morning, Travel to Rome in Afternoon
  • Friday, March 19th- Visit Pompeii Ruins
  • Saturday, March 20th- Guided Tour of Colosseo, Forum, Hill in Rome, Farewell Group Dinner
  • Sunday, March 21st- Return Travel to U.S.
