In what ways did the Polytechnic and/or Purdue help make you uniquely qualified for your new job?
My experience at 鶹ƷInstitute and 鶹Ʒ prepared me well through its strong emphasis on applied learning and real-world projects. I developed practical skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and teamwork through hands-on assignments and group work. In addition, Dr. Mesut was very proactive in helping students explore job opportunities by regularly sharing open roles and providing guidance. This support helped me stay informed and better prepared for the job market.

How has the college or someone in the college (feel free to name them) helped you achieve your goals?
I especially enjoyed Dr. Park's class. She explains things in a very clear and practical way, so it's not just theory - I was able to actually understand how to apply what I learned. That made a big difference for me. She also encouraged us to think more critically and be more confident in our ideas, which helped me grow a lot over time. On top of that, she was always approachable and willing to give advice, especially when it came to career direction. That support made me feel more confident during my job search and decision-making process. Overall, the experience helped me build both my skills and my confidence.

What specific classes (titles are more helpful than course numbers) helped prepare you for your new job?
For example, the Human Resource Capstone with Dr. Mesut helped me learned SHRM-related knowledge to real-world scenarios. Courses like Global Human Resource Management gave me a better understanding of working in a global environment and managing diverse teams. I also found Employment and Labor Law with Dr. Grant especially valuable, as it provided a strong foundation in legal considerations that are directly relevant to HR roles. Overall, while these are a few examples, I truly found that all of my HR-related courses were useful. Together, they helped me build both a strong knowledge base and practical skills that I now use in my work.

If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?
My favorite professor was Dr. Mesut Akdere. He was extremely responsible and truly cared about his students' success. I especially enjoyed his Human Resource Capstone class because it was very practical and focused on applying what we learned to real-world situations. It wasn't just about theory - we were encouraged to think critically, work through real problems, and connect what we learned to actual HR practices. What I appreciated the most was how supportive he was outside of class. He always took the time to give thoughtful feedback, answer questions, and guide us when we were thinking about our career paths. He also regularly shared job opportunities and encouraged us to be proactive in our job search, which made a big difference for me.
