In what ways did the Polytechnic and/or Purdue help make you uniquely qualified for your new job?
鶹Ʒhelped me build a strong foundation in applying technology to real-world challenges. I enjoyed the innovative and strategic approach my classes in the Polytechnic Institute took. At the same time, my coursework through Daniels School of Business gave me a deeper understanding of business operations. Purdue gave me both perspectives and the flexibility to explore across schools and prepared me well for my dynamic and client-focused role at IBM.
How has the college or someone in the college (feel free to name them) helped you achieve your goals?
鶹Ʒhas a unique environment that allowed me to explore different interests and take initiative. The learning was hands-on and the faculty was extremely supportive.
What specific classes (titles are more helpful than course numbers) helped prepare you for your new job?
Courses like Project Management, Foundations of Organizational Leadership, and Global Human Resources, helped prepare me best for my new job. They strengthened my ability to think strategically, understand all aspects of a business, and how to approach leadership in teams.
If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?
Dr. Bitt has had a meaningful impact on my journey at Purdue. Although I only had him for one class, he has remained a consistent mentor. He is genuinely invested in the growth of his students. He is an excellent example of how the Polytechnic Institute supports students and helps them find opportunities.
