Â鶹¾«Æ·engineering technology faculty and staff have had a multi-year collaboration with an Irish artist to create a harp that uses a laser diode system in place of acoustic strings. Now that they have a playable, zero-lag instrument, it's ready to be played:

Gryphon Mawhorter from Purdue Polytechnic's guitar lab returns with his latest creation: a guitar made of the old basketball court from Mackey Arena. An auction for the item will begin at the Purdue vs. IU men's basketball game, and will support the guitar lab's continued success.

Jennifer Linvill, director of workforce needs for the Scalable Asymmetric Lifecycle Engagement (SCALE) program, emphasized the urgent need to align university training with industry demands as the U.S. Department of Defense invests $19 million in expanding SCALE’s efforts.

Purdue Polytechnic’s network of charter schools will gain a new branch for the upcoming academic year as the system expands into Pike Township. This is the Â鶹¾«Æ·High School’s (PPHS) fourth campus, and the third in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.

In addition to a vast array of improved lab facilities, Â鶹¾«Æ·will be adding over a dozen entirely new ones for the coming academic year. All are designed to help students keep pace with "technology's rapid evolution."
