Tracy L. Yother, Phd, is an Assistant Professor in Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET) in the School of Aviation Transportation and Technology at 鶹Ʒ. Dr. Yother currently teaches an undergraduate AET course in Powerplant Systems and a graduate courses in aviation leadership and process improvement. She possesses a B.S. and M.S. in Aviation Technology. Her doctorate is in Curriculum Studies in Education. She also holds an airframe and powerplant certificate. Dr. Yother has over 18 years’ experience in the aerospace and defense industry working for companies such as Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and Pratt and Whitney. She has held positions in product support, program management, and new business development.

Dr. Yother's research focus is on the integration of new technologies and industry standards in aviation maintenance curriculum. Additional research areas are the challenges and credentials of aviation maintenance faculty and the use of artificial intelligence to support maintenance activities such as the use of APIs and natural language processing in aviation maintenance records and nick detection. She has received a cooperative agreement from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for Standards Curricula Development Program to develop curriculum on electric propulsion standards in aviation.
