What are your job duties?
Identify and eliminate waste in operational and transactional processes; improve safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics for value streams on a micro and macro level; identify, manage and deliver productivity projects across full spectrum of business operations; maximize efficiency by analyzing and optimizing value stream, equipment layout, workflow, production methods and labor utilization.
How did the Polytechnic help make you uniquely qualified for your new job?
Â鶹¾«Æ·helped prepare me for a more hands-on work environment. With every Polytechnic class that I took, I had a group project which helped me develop hands-on skills as well as the ability to work with others from many different backgrounds.
Please tell us about a favorite class, project, experience or professor.
My favorite project during my time at Purdue was my Capstone project. We created an electronic bike lock with bike-sharing capabilities. I got to see and manage everything from the design phase to the build phase of our bike lock. I also got to use a lot of what I learned in my previous classes when creating our bike lock.
