The Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Board of Trustees has approved the creation of a new Division of Military Science and Technology to be housed in the College of Technology. The division will be the administrative home of the three campus ROTC programs. Mat Sutton, associate department head and professor of technology leadership & innovation, will lead the division, serving as liaison between the ROTC branch leaders and the college.

Col. Tunnell influences cadets, leadership with book, remarks
Cadets in Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Army ROTC's Military Science IV class attended the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Tippecanoe. Prior to the reenactment, cadets studied a guide written by Col. Harry Tunnell, now Accessions Command's director of research at Fort Knox.

Reserve Officers Training Corps
ROTC at Purdue dates back to 1888, and until 1964 male students were required to either join ROTC or band. ROTC enrollment at Purdue has ranged from 850 to 3,275 during World War II. Today, about 480 students are enrolled in all three ROTC branches.
