Â鶹¾«Æ·honored 11 of the college’s graduates as Distinguished Technology Alumni, Outstanding Technology Alumni and Early Career Alumni awardees.

The Purdue Technology Alumni Board (PTAB) supports the Â鶹¾«Æ·Institute by encouraging communication and mutual assistance with the college’s alumni base via programs, educational and professional growth, and networking opportunities. New this year, to complement their traditional get-togethers, PTAB is debuting their online speaker series, hosted monthly through Webex.

Eren Hadimioglu, an alumnus from Purdue Polytechnic’s School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, co-developed PlaneEnglish, app-based tool that helps new pilots become proficient in aviation phraseology and communication.

Stacy Lutes (BS ’04, AT), a pilot at American Airlines, shared her experience flying the 2018 Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight from Oshkosh, Wisc., to Washington, D.C. last July.

Andrew Kennedy, technical director at Stereo D and a graduate of Purdue Polytechnic’s computer graphics technology program (BS ’12, MS ’14), developed custom software that allowed artists to specify colorization data in a black-and-white movie clips and then intelligently apply that data to subsequent clips.

​Aircraft Maintenance Technology Magazine named Elizabeth (Eli) Tilden, a 2003 graduate of Purdue Polytechnic‘s School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, as winner of a 2018 Next Gen 40 Under 40 Award.

Scott Massey, a 2017 graduate of Purdue Polytechnic’s mechanical engineering technology program and CEO of Heliponix LLC, traveled to a small country in Africa to help residents create sustainable agriculture methods.

Purdue alumnus Isaiah Butler will graduate with a master’s degree in leadership, a program offered through Purdue Polytechnic’s Center for Professional Studies (ProSTAR). We talked with Butler about why he chose to get his undergraduate degree at Purdue and to come back for a weekend master’s degree program.

Brent Vermeulen earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology-teacher education from Â鶹¾«Æ· in 2008. That fall, he began working at Hobart High School in Hobart, Indiana, where he teaches civil engineering and architecture, introduction to engineering design, web design, and computer integrated manufacturing.
