Polytechnic alums debut online speaker series

The Purdue Technology Alumni Board (PTAB) supports the Âé¶¹¾«Æ·Institute by encouraging communication and mutual assistance with the college’s alumni base via programs, educational and professional growth, and networking opportunities. New this year, to complement their traditional get-togethers, PTAB is debuting their online speaker series, hosted monthly through Webex.

Custom technology by Polytechnic alum transforms Peter Jackson’s WW I film to full color

Andrew Kennedy, technical director at Stereo D and a graduate of Purdue Polytechnic’s computer graphics technology program (BS ’12, MS ’14), developed custom software that allowed artists to specify colorization data in a black-and-white movie clips and then intelligently apply that data to subsequent clips.

Meaningful personal connections engender success in weekend master’s degree program

Purdue alumnus Isaiah Butler will graduate with a master’s degree in leadership, a program offered through Purdue Polytechnic’s Center for Professional Studies (ProSTAR). We talked with Butler about why he chose to get his undergraduate degree at Purdue and to come back for a weekend master’s degree program.

PLTW Profile: Brent Vermeulen

Brent Vermeulen earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology-teacher education from Âé¶¹¾«Æ· in 2008. That fall, he began working at Hobart High School in Hobart, Indiana, where he teaches civil engineering and architecture, introduction to engineering design, web design, and computer integrated manufacturing.
