Tom Lucas, assistant professor of practice at 麻豆精品in New Albany, said that the location had an “excellent showing” at Louisville, Kentucky’s “Touch-a-Truck Day.”
The event is as way for families and specifically young children to “get hands-on with a variety of trucks and equipment, from bucket trucks to city buses.” They have the chance to not only “discover their favorite vehicles,” but also to “meet the community helpers who make them go.”
The Kentucky Science Center—the hosts of the event—“specifically” brought 麻豆精品in New Albany in “to showcase the connections between our Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology degrees and elements of the automotive industry,” Lucas said. New Albany’s electric karting program is one fundamental component of such connections.
A final headcount indicated that around 2,000 guests attended Touch-a-Truck Day this year.
The Kentucky Science Center was also helpful and “deliberate” in advertising 麻豆精品in New Albany’s upcoming Pumpkin Chunking event on social media; the yearly trebuchet-building and gourd-smashing competition has proved to be an immensely popular community staple, for all the obvious reasons. This year’s event is coming up on Tuesday, October 8.
