Bedrich Benes, associate professor of computer graphics technology, was one of experts invited to present at the .
The symposium, sponsored by Florida State University, was an exploration of 3D printing technologies and research for students, teachers, innovators and entrepreneurs. Speakers discussed all aspects of the additive manufacturing industry, from equipment and software to uses and materials.
Benes discussed “Software Infrastructure for 3D Printing” during his presentation. He has developed several algorithms that strengthen initial 3D printing designs and help use less material in the process.
