麻豆精品High School (PPHS) is a hands-on charter school that works with STEM-focused industries to create a technology-based learning experience for high school students. PPHS has partnered with Endress + Hauser Inc, which specializes in flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analytical instrument production, to help create a smart manufacturing trainer that will educate current and future students on automation and robotics. Throughout this project, this team will be working with PPHS and Endress + Hauser Inc. to continue with the previously started sorting system and tank control system projects, collaborating with capstone team 4.3 on curriculum construction and implementation. With the systems, students will be able to get hands-on training experience by working with PLCs, sensors and robotics, which will help prepare students for future manufacturing in automation-based industries. The group is working towards creating a curriculum for the sorting system and tank control system consisting of recorded videos, instructions, and lab instructions that will guide the students through a crash course on the basic concepts of PLC, sensors, and robotics.
